Held under the theme “Africa Forward,” the summit focuses on strengthening trade and economic partnerships between African nations and France.
The agreement was concluded between Egypt and the European Union, and is funded through a grant worth €75 million.
The statement came during a meeting between President El-Sisi and a delegation from ExxonMobil, led by Ardil Küçükkaya, to review the company’s ongoing exploration activities across Egypt’s onshore and offshore territories.
He explained that the crisis has triggered two major shocks: disruptions in energy supplies and sharp increases in prices.
The project is one of the country’s flagship green transport initiatives, designed to provide a fast, safe, and environmentally friendly alternative to private vehicles.
